Maintenance Requests
G.A.R. Cemetery Staff is always dedicated to keeping the grounds maintained, however; there may be times in which circumstances including the weather may hinder their ability to do so. If there is an issue with your loved one’s grave space and it needs attention, please let the cemetery office, or one of our grounds men know of the issue and we will correct the situation as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Marker & Vase Setting
The G.A.R. Cemetery Rules and Regulations state the cemetery staff will be responsible for setting all flat markers. This will ensure that the marker is placed correctly and does not impede upon another grave. The setting fees are as follows:
- Single Flat Marker (Up to 2’6″x 1’4″ maximum size & a minimum of 4″ thick) $225.00
- Double Flat Marker (Up to 5′ x 1’4″ maximum size & a minimum of 4″ thick) $400.00
- Flat Baby Marker (Up to 2′ x 1′ maximum size & a minimum of 4″ thick) $150.00
- All Veteran’s Markers received from the Dept. of Veteran’s Affairs are set at NO CHARGE
- All Vase Setting Fees will be $50.00 per vase.
Monument Foundation Installation
Upright monument foundations are poured by the cemetery staff; however, the monument will be set by the monument company. The foundation fees are as follows:
- Half Lot (4 plots up to a 6′ base) $400.00
- Full Lot (8 plots from 6′ up to 12″ base) $800.00
Opening & Closing of Graves
There are different pricing for opening and closing of the grave space for interment according to what type of container will be used.
- Adult Vault $775
- Infant Vault: $325
- Cremains: $400
- Urn Vault: $425
- Double interment of two (2) urns at the same time in the same grave opening $550
- Saturday Over-time Opening/Closing: $1,225
- Sunday & Holidays Over-time Opening/Closing: $1550
Disinterments
Disinterment from our cemetery will require you to hire a funeral home director that is licensed within the state of Oklahoma. Their fees will be outlined by them.
Once you have obtained all requirements by the State of Oklahoma Health Department, arrangements will be made with us for a date and time for the disinterment. If you are removing your loved one and placing them in another cemetery the fee will be $1,500.00.
If you are relocating within G.A.R. Cemetery the fee will be $2,000.00.
If you are removing your loved one’s cremains the fee will be $500.
Overtime
In the situation that the funeral causes our crew to be here after our closing time, there will be an overtime fee assessed as described below.
Our overtime fees are:
- Weekdays-After 4:30 p.m. $350.00 per hour
- No Funerals Scheduled after 2:00 p.m. on Weekdays
For all Saturday funerals our overtime fee is:
- Saturday Funerals $400.00
(Additional $350.00 per hour after 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays) - No Funerals Scheduled after 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays
Replacement Cemetery Certificate
If you have lost or misplaced your original copy of your cemetery certificate, with certain requirements met, we can re-issue a new certificate to replace the one that is missing. There will be a $65.00 administration fee for the new certificate. There can only be one printed certificate for the property that was purchased no matter how many names (owners) are listed on the certificate. The first person listed on the certificate will be the holder unless that person has handed it to another owner to hold.
Changing of Ownership/Transfer of Cemetery Certificate
If the desire or need comes that the certificate needs to be transferred to another person, there are certain criteria that must be met. There is a $65.00 administration fee for each new certificate issued. Come to the cemetery office and discuss the situation, or call the office at (918) 541-2288 and we will be more than happy to help you with this situation.
Re-Selling Cemetery Property
Upon the time that the property is of no use to you and your family any longer, you may place your property up for re-sale. You may resell your property at its current property value, minus a 10% resell fee.
Gazebo Use
G.A.R. Cemetery has a large gazebo for the public to use. It is located at the northern end of the grounds next to the Mausoleum and Columbaria. The primary use for the gazebo is for funeral services; however, other uses have been for event receptions, Easter Sunday Church Service and family gatherings.
The gazebo, tables, and chairs are available to rent for $150. Call (918) 541-2288 for availability.
